Read the business account terms (version 2026-10-18.5)

Parties and acceptance. These terms are between the business named in your application ("you") and Jeepney, the sovereign framework behind Jeepney.io ("we"). Jeepney exists online and has no physical address. We give you notices in your Jeepney.io notifications and at the email on your account, and you can reach us through the contact and support pages on Jeepney.io. By ticking the box and submitting your application you sign electronically and agree to these terms. We record the version you accepted, the time and your IP address.

Who may apply. You may apply if you own the business or are authorized to act for it, and your Jeepney.io account is KYC verified. For a company, we may ask for proof of your authority, such as a board resolution or secretary's certificate. One company workspace is opened for each approved business application, and an account may hold several.

Accurate information. What you tell us and the registration document you upload must be true and genuine. We may check them, ask for more, approve or decline the application, and suspend a workspace if the information turns out to be false.

Your account and your team. You are responsible for the people you add, the roles you give them, and what they do in your workspace. Keep your sign-in secure. You can remove a team member at any time.

Employee and personal data. Attendance, payroll and other employee records you enter are your records. You are the personal information controller for them under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). You must have a lawful basis to record them, such as your employment and legal obligations or the person's consent, and you must give your employees a privacy notice that tells them what is recorded and why. Only enter what you need. Government ID numbers and bank details are sensitive, so enter them only where the law or payroll requires.

How we handle that data for you. We process your employee and business data only to provide the service and on your instructions, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it. Our people with access are bound by confidentiality. We keep reasonable organizational, physical and technical security measures. We may use hosting, storage and messaging providers who are bound to protect the data in the same way. We help you answer requests from employees to access or correct their data. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we tell you without undue delay and within 72 hours of learning of it. When you close your workspace we delete or return the data, except what the law requires us to keep.

Payroll and compliance. The payroll, leave and 13th month tools help you compute and record pay. They do not compute withholding tax or government contributions unless the screen says they do. You remain responsible for correct amounts, taxes, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions, minimum wage and compliance with labor law. Check every run before you approve it.

Selling on the marketplace and wholesale. You may list only lawful goods you are allowed to sell and that you have the right to sell. Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, counterfeit items and other regulated or prohibited goods are not allowed through general listings, and goods that need a license or FDA registration may be listed only if you hold it. Buyers can see who the seller is. Listings are reviewed, and we may remove a listing or order that breaks the rules or the law. Platform rules for orders, delivery, refunds and disputes apply to your sales, and your obligations to consumers under Philippine law stay with you. Marketplace and wholesale selling are opened by Jeepney.io when ready, and any fee or commission is published before it applies.

Wallet and Quanta. Your business wallet and any Quanta balance follow the Jeepney.io wallet rules. They are not bank deposits and do not earn interest.

Fees. There is no charge to open a workspace today. If plans or prices are introduced, we will tell you in advance and nothing is charged without your acceptance.

Referrals. Naming who referred you only records who introduced you. It does not create any reward, commission or partnership unless a separate written agreement says so.

Suspension and closing. We may suspend or close a workspace that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts other users at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us. You may ask us to close yours at any time, and you can export your records first. Records we must keep by law stay on file for as long as the law requires.

Liability. We provide the service with reasonable care but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes, governing law and disputes. We may update these terms and will tell you when we do; the version you accepted is recorded with your application. These terms are governed by the Jeepney Economy rules, which Jeepney will make available to citizens when it opens the Jeepney Economy Index. Nothing in them takes away rights you have under the laws that apply to your business, your employees or your customers, and where those laws require more, they apply too. If there is a dispute, we will first try to settle it by talking, then by mediation. Jeepney's Disputes Panel will hear what remains once it is constituted. The panel does not stop either of us from going to a court or regulator that has authority over us.
